Public CQ Profile — Your AI-Powered Digital Identity

Remember when setting up a professional online profile meant hours of fiddling with templates, uploading images one by one, and copy-pasting text between tabs? Those days are over.

With CitadelQuest v0.7.31-beta, your AI Spirit can now build your entire Public CQ Profile from scratch — just by talking to it.

How it works:

Give your Spirit a URL — your existing website, LinkedIn, portfolio, anything — and watch it work. In a single conversation, your Spirit will:

Fetch and analyze your website content using fetchURL
Download images directly from the web — profile photos, backgrounds, logos — and save them to your File Browser (new downloadPath + downloadFilename feature)
Set your profile photo and background using cqProfileManage — no manual uploads needed
Write your bio based on real content from your site
Create structured content sections with cqProfileManageGroup — services, about, pricing, contact, reviews — whatever fits your profile
Populate each section with formatted content using cqProfileManageItem

The result? A clean, professional public page at https://your.citadel/YourName — built entirely through a natural conversation with your Spirit.

What's under the hood:

The new cqProfileManage AI Tool gives Spirits full control over profile settings that were previously only accessible through the Settings UI:

setProfilePhoto / removeProfilePhoto — using existing project files, no re-upload needed
setBackgroundImage / removeBackgroundImage — same principle
setBackgroundOverlay — toggle the overlay for better text readability
updateBio — supports markdown
setSpiritShowcase — show your AI Spirits on your profile (or keep them hidden)
setLanguage — set your profile page language

Combined with the existing cqProfileManageGroup and cqProfileManageItem tools, Spirits now have complete CQ Profile management capabilities. It's like having a personal web designer who actually understands what you want.

v0.7.20-beta — Profile Icons, Feed Placeholders & a Little Soul ✨

Fresh release just dropped! Here's what went into today's session:

Profile Photo Optimization Loading profile photos one by one? That's the old way. We built a batch endpoint that fetches tiny 32px base64 icons for all your contacts in a single request, cached in localStorage for 15 minutes. The feed and sidebar are noticeably snappier now — fewer network requests, cleaner fallbacks.

"What's on your mind?" is dead Every social platform asks the same thing. Facebook's "What's on your mind?", X's "What's happening?" — boring. CitadelQuest now rotates through 8 original placeholders like "Speak freely — this is your fortress", "Drop some wisdom on the federation", and "Make the feed legendary". Fully translated in 8 languages. Small detail, big personality.

Simplified Settings Removed the federation_show_bio and federation_show_photo toggles. If you have a photo and bio, they're shared. Less clutter, cleaner UX.

This release was built in a single session — Human + AI pair programming at its finest. The kind of flow where ideas become features before you finish your coffee. ☕
